65th Festival of Sport (FOS) - Skateboarding Mini Games Day will be held on 31 August (Wednesday) at Lai Chi Kok Park Skatepark. There were two disciplines in the Skateboarding event at the Tokyo Olympics, namely street and park. Do you know the difference between them? The judges will assess the performance of the skateboarders through speed, originality, the degree of difficulty of the tricks, and execution, to calculate an overall mark. However, the designs of the venue are totally different. The street competition is held on a “street-like” course, featuring handrails, stairs, slopes, and curbs. On the other hand, the park competition takes place on a “Bowl-like” design course with ramps of varying inclinations, some of them are even vertical. The skateboarders can ride the curves and perform amazing mid-air tricks. 65th FOS – Skateboarding Mini Games Day is now open for registration via the FOS website. Participants who register online can redeem a FOS souvenir on the event day. Limited quota, on a first-come-first-served basis. Register now if you are interested!
